Paul the Octopus

Paul the Octopus is a common octopus living in a tank at a Sea Life Centre in Oberhausen, Germany. The octopus is used as an animal oracle in an attempt to predict the results of football matches, usually international matches in which Germany is playing.

During a prediction, the octopus is presented with two boxes. Each contains food, and is marked with the flag of a national football team in an upcoming match, among which he is said to choose his predicted winner. The octopus is reported to have chosen the box with the flag of the winning team. He predicts the win by eating the mussel in the chosen box.

FIFA World Cup 2010
The psychic octopus  on Tuesday Paul had predicted that Spain will beat Germany in the World Cup semi-finals.  Paul the octopus was right. Spain marched into the finals after dumping out Germany on Wednesday 1-0.
With six out of six correct predictions, the eight-legged creature has now predicted every result for Germany's games in this World Cup with 100 per cent accuracy.
The only time the usually-prescient Paul has erred in the past was ahead of the Germany-Spain final at the 2008 European Championship. Paul picked Germany; Spain won by 1-0.
Otherwise, Paul correctly predicting Germany's wins over Argentina and England, and also foretold the victories over Australia and Ghana and the country's loss to Serbia.
